Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the uncertainty of the future weighs heavily on many people’s minds. At a time like this, having a healthy psychological state may be one of the most significant issues.
To this end, an online platform — “Moner Daktar” — comprising a website and a mobile app, has been developed to provide psychological assistance and mental support.
A joint initiative of the Bangladesh Clinical Psychological Society (BCPS), Clinical Psychological Department of Dhaka University (DU) and Tele-psychiatry Research & Innovation Network (TRIN), the platform was launched last week.
A total of 72 psychologists from BCPS and Clinical Psychological Department of DU will voluntarily provide the services, said Nazma Khatun, chairperson of the department.
Anyone can get the service by registering on the website: https://monerdaktar.com.
Same facilities would be provided through a mobile app, which can be downloaded from the same website, Nazma said.
Users can have video or audio consultations with their preferred psychologist using the platform, she added.
